Trine Schmidt calls herself "the grand old lady" in Danish women's cycling, as she has gradually been in the sport the longest of all since her start in cycling in 1998.
Trine Schmidt is Argon 18 ambassador and one of Denmark's best female track riders. Her big breakthrough came in 2008 when she won the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Manchester in the Points Race. She is many times Danish champion, 2x European champion, Olympic participant, and World Cup medal winner!
"Cycling is my job, but fortunately also my hobby. The joy of getting out into nature far exceeds most for me. My main disciplines are the track and the road - spiced up with a little gravel cycling because it's fun!"
After the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo, Trine retires from the professional cycling world and becomes a happy rider joining Mikkeller Cycling Club as road captain.
