The Holm Siblings Takes Double Gold in Sprint Triathlon

The sibling couple, Emil and Anne Holm, cleared the table in the Danish championships, August 14th 2021, by winning gold in the men's and women's elite race on the classic sprint distance: 750m swimming, 20km cycling, and 5km running.

A tough distance that places great demands on both the athletes' speed, ability to work with lactic acid, and tactical intelligence - a discipline that Emil and Anne master to perfection.

Both Emil and Anne were in tuff competition with former Danish champions. It was two very relieved, happy, and proud athletes we spoke to after the race.

"I am super proud, it has been a goal for many years to win the Danish Sprint Championships. It was a great feeling to deliver a race where everything played out right after a slightly tough first part of the season where I missed the qualification for the Olympics in Tokyo. Luckily, there will be more international competitions later in the season, where I can get revenge," says Emil Holm after the finish line.
