Team Roskilde Jr | Race Time

The young talents on the world's perhaps best junior team, Team Roskilde Jr., should have shown their talent this spring on the big, international scene, in the spring classics Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. Races, that should give the young, aspiring talents an opportunity to stand out and test themselves against the international talent mass. To get noticed by the sports directors of the big Pro and World Tour teams. The races should have taken place in April, but which was canceled because of the Corona pandemic.

The wait has been long… But finally, the young riders got the chance to show off their talent at the Danish championships in Give on June 19th, 2021.

We were there, with the riders, before, during, and after the race. To capture the essence of cycling: the intense atmosphere, the emotions, the crashes, the fights, and the ups and downs.

The Essence of Cycling

And what a day. What a race. True racing, with loads of breakaways from the gun. With crashes, defects, and broken dreams. A heroic team effort made it possible for Nicolai Wandahl to take home the silver medal. Disappointed at first. But satisfied and proud of how his teammates supported him in the final.

A team success that increases the young talent’s hunger for more race time.
